New Upper Class Quads
On the south side of the Ivy Corridor, two new Student Housing Quads are arranged adjacent to the existing Student Quad which is doubled in size. These Housing quads will be composed with landscaped and treed courtyards as their focus. In total ten new dormitories of varying sizes are to be added. Three stories seems an appropriate height limit for these new dormitories. These may account for as many as 1,200 new student accommodations in various room configurations.
Fitted within these quadrangle arrangements are eight smaller Master's Houses for faculty and staff. These might be a combination of up and down flats, duplexes, and single-family houses. These smaller scaled structures will serve better compliment the scale of the Lewis Mountain Neighborhood that abuts this University zone. Each of these Master's Houses might have their own garden areas within which faculty and staff might allow children to play or students/ guests be entertained.
Additionally, some surface parking, discretely scaled, well landscaped and sheltered with trees, might be allowed for. Given some of the more dramatic slopes that rise from Ivy Road, single or two-story deck parking beneath some of the dormitories might be reasonably allowed for.
